REBELS SWEEP DUAL MEET
The Rebels Girls and Boys cross country teams made the school's first ever home meet a success by winning both the Girls and Boys team titles. On a day with temperatures near 90's, the meet was moved from a 4pm start to 6pm and the course was shorten to 2.08 miles from the original 2.75 mile course. In the Girls race, A/W freshman Kennady Anderson was the overall winner in a time of 14:32. The Rebels first Girl was Lena Becker (3rd - 15:44). Other scorers for the Girls were Alyssa Dyken (4th - 16:20), Paige Rewerts (5th - 16:27), Riley Menssen (7th - 17:23) and Trinity Shimmin (8th - 17:54). Also running for the Girls were McKenzie Stahl (10th - 19:47) and Ashley Orrick (DNF) who dropped out with a foot injury. On the Boys side, A/W sophomore Coy McKibbon was the first across the finish line with a time of 13:01 followed close behind by Rebel Caden Daum (2nd - 13:06). The other four scorers for the Boys were Alex Welch (3rd - 13:25), Payton Stahl (4th - 13:31), Brett Browning (6th - 14:37) and Colby Carroll (7th - 14:38). Jack Winans (9th - 15:33) was the other Boys finisher. Team score for the Girls race was Stark County 27 to Annawan/Wethersfield 29. Team score for the Boys race was Stark County 22 to Annawan/Wethersfield 35.
